Evaluation on ICT Education Contents Linkages in General and Tertiary Education of Mongolia

This paper presents needs, main goals and importance of compulsory Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training in tertiary education, Educational Contents of Compulsory ICT Training in Tertiary Education of Mongolia and Evaluation ON ICT education contents.

  1. NEED, MAIN GOALS AND IMPORTANCE OF ICT EDUCATION
Nowadays, the following issues are discussed as being important in tertiary education system: to make training more interesting and novel; to improve its contents; to use new technologies in training; to make students able to introduce, use and share worldwide information and knowledge, to learn together, and to improve their self-development, self-learning and living skills to the common standard of society; to meet the international standard; and to prepare personnel, who can work in international level.
However, staffs knowledge and skills are also very important. Each year, for example, the National Association of Colleges and Employers conducts a survey to determine what qualities employers consider most important in applicants seeking employment. The top ten factors were [1] Communication skills (verbal and written); Honesty/integrity; Teamwork skills; Interpersonal skills; Motivation/initiative; Strong work ethic; Analytical skills; Flexibility/adaptability; Computer skills and Self-confidence.
